My opinion

This will really change pulling in the Midwest. Finally there will be an alternative to local associations and the dismal Outlaws. Many pullers and towns are ready for a bigger stage. Nice call PPL. |

in the know

466 c.i.d. 3 x4 SMOOTH BORE turbocharger, just like the founders of the class in Missouri have ran for years and years. Finally our class has been recognized by a great organization with stability. |

Can anyone tell me the weight class and what type of engine configuration the PPL Protect the Harvest light mod class will be using? Thinking about getting onboard. Thanks |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series

As a puller associated with the East Coast Series, just a couple of thoughts for Klint, the PPL and the Western Series:
All pullers, no matter where we are, have a lot of time, effort and money invested in our tractors. It would be nice to find that all could follow the same rules and run as a professional group. However, hopefully the 'powers that be' in charge of making a change for the light modified class in the Western Series will be mindful of the investment these fellow pullers have and the cost involved to change over to a different set of rules so quickly before the next season begins. From what I see for sale, right now there are 3 tractors in the Nebr Bush Assoc for sale. Don't think you want this kind of result. Good Luck! |

I think there might be some confusion. The rules for the Modified class will be similar to what PPL has in the state of New York and the East Coast series. Hopefully next week we will have the rules for the western series available. Thanks Klint |

Profarm will be OEM manifolds. |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series
|
Smarter than you
|
Why would or should they run aftermarket manifolds that is opening up another can of worms if this class is to stay budget oriented. Headers and super duper exhaust manifold will run thousands of dollars for what because some shmuck has a lot of money he/she wants to spend. If these tractors are getting the horse power out of them that they say they are the only reason to spend more money is your a shmuck. |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series
|
Build it
|
Build them yourself. Thats what happened to this sport, neither class is a budget class last time I checked. No one has skills to build their own so if they have to buy it no one else should have them either. Its not some pullers fault your not educated enough to build them. Bring back the ingenuity or get some and maybe you don't need your checkbook. |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series

This shmuck as you call it wants to know because I can build one for my self cheaper then what guys are selling oem exhaust/intake manifolds for. Just a simple question with a simple yes/no answer not a big deal either. |

They decided to offer the 2.6 class on the Renze Seeds Protect the Harvest series and keep the 3.0 class on the Silver series. we can still book the class out west, but it just falls under the Silver series. Thanks Klint |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series

Klint, Can you be more specific on the rules and regs for your "light mod class" that will be pulling in the PPL Western Series? Engine configuration, types, how many, etc., or will it be the Nebr. Bush Mod class? Just wondering and thanks. |

outlaw puller

Almost the same rules as Outlaws, It will be interesting to see how they try to schedule events and classes around open Outlaw modified tractor dates, because I doubt many tractors back east will come this far. |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series

to outlaw puller

You can come watch them at the Missouri State Fair..... |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series

outlaw puller
|
They can have that junk track at the Missouri State Fair. Plus that date of the 17th is on Sunday, the last day of the fair after they have been pulling all week, good luck with that. |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series
|
Another one
|
Do you really think PPL gives a rat's behind what outlaws do? For your information now that they no longer race at State Fair and can dig up the track, it is really good. You need to go back to your little organization and leave the pulling to the adults. |

It sounds to me like you might have some trouble in you 101 class. The learning curve could be really steep. |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series

Reallys post makes no sense that is all. |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series
|
Caution!!!
|
A word of advice to you profarm boys. If you want to pull PPl you need to quit bitching about everything and hammering Klint. He can make or break your class. Your call. |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series
|
Mo puller
|
Just the same pullers can make or break Klint or the western series. If there not working together it is done. |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series
|
well
|
Well then just stay in MO and don't pull with them. Nobody telling you that you have to pull with them. Stay with you local club and whine there. |
Re: PPL protect the harvest western series
|
Come on
|
If you feel that way you better stay home. All you have to do is read these different posts to see where all the problems are gonna be. When I pulled that class I would have been thrilled to pull at that level. I certainly wouldn't have had a chip on my shoulder. Follow the rules be polite and have a good time. |
