706 Running Gear, Gas or Diesel

Hey Guys, I have been trying to research prior to asking questions. This is what I have found. A 1066 - 1466 front end will bolt to a 706 rear end for the better gears. The clutch and tranny should be acceptable through a lower horsepower hot stock class of pulling. Questions, Does it matter if the 706 running gear is from a gas or diesel?

I don't think it matters. I know that early 806's used the high speed rear as well, but it's easier to find a 706. |
