Man you can sure tell who the brave guys are in the world of the LLSS class. Those KY guys kinda stood up the whatssmokin boys this year. I also heard they got the class weight changed in their favor and still jumped ship. Maybe they are just more comfortable in their own sandbox. Not taking anything away from the Southern Invitational boys, but I cant wait to see the separation between the men and boyz in the little barn on the prairie come next month.

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted December 07, 2013 01:27AM
What are you tAlking about with the weight at gordyville? Of anything has changed I haven't seen anything on it. And it's hard to make the indoor hooks every year. Some are broke, others just taking a break this year. Good luck to everyone who heads north or south

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted December 07, 2013 01:53AM
I think what they are talking about, is two years ago the Light Limited guys in Kentucky made it clear to me if we lowered the weight in our LLSS class, they would support our event with more tractors. So we lowered the weight from 6,700 lbs. to 6,400 lbs. They did what they promised, and supported us for two more years. On the other side the 300 lb. weight reduction, put several diesel tractors in Iowa and Badger State to weight disadvantage, and they have chose not to lighten their chassis for one hook. So now this year the majority of KY tractors have decided not to support our event a Gordyville. Last year we had a little trouble with this class, and I guess that was enough for them to stay away. I just wish one of their spokesmen would have called and talked to us. This class was one that got us started in 2005. I am afraid it has ran its course. No groups want to 100% support it each winter, and seems to me the excitement is gone. I have heard every excuse from: "the class is too heavy", "too light", "the track is too good", "the sled too hard to start with the smoke rack on", etc, etc. The last meeting we had, it was decided to stick with this class one more year and then take a detailed survey, how to fix this situation, one more time. If no solution is found we will offer a 8,500 Diesel Super Stock in winter 2015 in its place. We appreciate the guys that are entered for this years event. Hopefully we can work together and put on a good show and the more pullers will want to come back in 2015. Thanks Klint

Klint,im pretty sure there will be more entered.

Re: Murfreesboro Politics December 07, 2013 04:53AM
Can someone please give us some examples of the politics going on and where's it coming from. Tough to fix a problem with a threat, we have seen this in racing so many times when a organization let's inmates run the joint. Would things be better if Badger State allowed spark plugs in LLSS class? Been racing all our lives two wheels, four wheels, things that fly same crap everywhere we go, would be nice if we all ran the same set of rules for the same class. FYI I have a TAP for spark plugs would love to use it

Re: Bryan Deck? December 07, 2013 05:05AM
What tractor is he running in the limited Pro Stock?

Re: Bryan Deck? December 07, 2013 10:42AM
Is Michigan water legal in NTPA? And what about NITRO-X? The Bud Man tractor is was a SF from Michigan and is also the old Preparation-H pro stock if you want to know.

Re: Bryan Deck? December 08, 2013 03:59AM
Steve Francis' Deere Processor is the old Prep-H PS. Bud Man was built as an SF originally for Marty Burczyk before Harmon got it.

The bad apple December 07, 2013 02:17PM
is the one bryan has a lim pro motor in. I talked to him at Monroe this fall. He made a pass on it and it sounded great just didn't get a hold of the track

Re: Murfreesboro Politics December 08, 2013 02:44AM
Question for "trying to help".Why would Badgerstate change when the numbers are good the way it is.Also with 5 more building that makes about 16 tractors in the class.Badgerstate doesn't need 30 in a class. This class has been in Badger since 1997 and has been a great class.Like the old saying goes don't fix what ain't broke.

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted (Bryan Deck) December 07, 2013 11:27AM
I could easily be wrong here, but pretty sure the Deere Processor of Steve Francis is the old Preparation H tractor, so it is still in Michigan if that is the case.

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted (Bryan Deck) December 07, 2013 12:45PM
That sounds about right Harmon's have had so many different one's it's hard to keep track.

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted December 08, 2013 02:18AM
How r diesels at a disadvantage if they way the same(,movable weight)?

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted December 07, 2013 02:15PM
I don't think the bud man is the prep h. however the deere processor could be. I would have to see a picture of it. I havnt seen a pic of the prep h for quite a few years now and I know tom changed the old paint scheme (which was awesome) somebody on here will know for sure

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted December 07, 2013 02:27PM
I thought the Bud Man tractor had a one piece fibreglass hood/nose cone that is fairly distinctive, where as the old Prep H had OE 66 sheetmetal pieces for hood......again, could be wrong.

You're right, someone will have the facts here soon enough.

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted December 09, 2013 03:17AM
I knew they were all built around the same time. The apple is going to be a SF at NFMS and as far as next year goes bryan did not tell me what his plans were yet as far as where the tractor will compete at. I was not aware that the H was sold. If somebody had a pic of it now I would love to see it.
I miss them days when Michigan had all those great Pro Stocks.

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted December 10, 2013 03:23AM
I can tell by the front end that is the old H. glad its still on the track

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted December 08, 2013 04:13AM
The bud man has a one piece fiber glass hood and the preparation h is now the deer processor actually the bud man deer processor and the one bad apple were all built at almost the same time and all have the same frame and if were all parked next to each other you could see all of the similarities

Re: Murfreesboro lineup posted December 09, 2013 09:56AM
Sounds like bager state boys are afraid that's why the don't wknt alcohol tractor might have to work on there tractors more to stay competitive
