Would a 5.9 on gas,no turbo,in a 1755 be able to be very competitive in a 12 mph class at 5000 and 6000 pounds.our local club has a open class with some 310 diesels on gas,360 ihs on gas,cases and hercs.can a oliver compete on gas,can make manifolds,can get a 1755 for scrap too,but weight is 5000 and 6000 |

You need older engines with the right cam and pump, some guys near Charles City ,Iowa could help, don't know the contact. |

It will run about the same as any other 359 cid gas engine. Starting with a 6.7 will help a little more. |

Just curious, which head would flow better a wauk 310 diesel with spark plugs or a 5.9 cummins with the manifold cut off with spark plugs.both could be ported..seems like the llss heads are impressive, also the central ohio 310s are very impressive |

A 310 diesel head is better than an OEM Cummins but there’s some aftermarket Cummins heads that have the ability to be made very good |

Good luck getting a 1755 rear end in the 5000 # Class ! Not even sure you could make the 6000 # Class. You would need a 1800A Housing to even think of it. |
