400 series connecting rods January 01, 2014 11:42AM
I have a 414 engine I am building into a farm stock engine. It spun a rod and the rod is not usable. I have 5 ok rods. Should I be looking for a new set of 6. or just one. I don't want to risk winding up with a weak rod. How can I be sure the rods can stand up to 3000 rpm/ 450ish hp? I don't want to risk anything? Thanks for all opinions.

You should be fine with just getting another rod. Use clevite bearings. Works with all the ones we run.

Give me your address via text and I will send you a rod for free. Neil @ 608-317-7321 ARP bolts should be purchased, and the rest of your rods will be fine. 450 hp wont hurt good forged rods.
