i am looking for a little help, i have a IH with a 407 engine that runs 3000rpm and has a 450 head on injector pump and stock cam, how big of a turbo or model turbo can i use on this setup thanks for all the info

You should have no problem with a 3LM-466 turbo on there, many setups like your spin a 3LM-466 turbo. You'll need to have a 1" thick spacer plate machined to sandwich between the manifold & the turbo, in order to raise it up high enough for the compressor housing of the turbo to clear the thermostat housing of the DT407.

thanks for the info, does any one know what the specs are of a 3lm turbo? like intake and ex sizes and what size ex housing comes on them and will this work on a 3000rpm engine and what gear would it pull in for 9000lbs class thanks again

I have a hx50 3x3 i would sell you cheap...worked very well on my dt466 3000 rpm
