Just some basic ideas of what to do to it. I was planning on putting new injectors on it (4x.20) along with a 11.5mm pump max(820cc) and a turbo to start. But I don't know if I need all that or not. That was the plan, and pull it this year and maybe next year rebuild it to a 504ci and port the heads. I just need someone who knows a little more than me for advice.

Try and get ahold of Thad at Ruscha Machinery in Verona mo he has had some very strong Case tractors in our area and he knows them well. Or go over to yesterdays tractors web page and look on the case discussion page and ask for him he is on there a lot.

put 1370 injectors in it. fuel it with 10 m apump off of 2670. have pump work done by good pump shop. good governor work. use the fuel lines off of 2470 as they use bigger fuel lines for the pencil injectors.use stock 3lm turbo.there is one in my area that can beat a good 504 most of the time. ican also tell you how to make a 504 run. most people over kill them and they wont run as good.

Fuel and turbo sounds good of what eagle was saying. I would also suggest a can in it. It will liven it up abit. Maybe port out the heads. Also be careful with valve train. They sometimes will bind when they get warm from pulling. I've seen this happen on 3 farmstock pullers. Our fix was buying roller rockers. But I gave the stock ones a little more clearance and ran them on another one and it worked fine. If you are planning on going 504 I have a lot of specs on things to make one run good. If you want I can give you them. More cases out there always makes this guy happier!

ARE the 2670 injector lines to big for stock 451 with 1370 injectors,3LM charger and 305cc-10mm A-pump? what's the size difference between 2470&2670 injector lines? thanks. I run 8-mph classes-11,000-12,500&14,000. She'll hang in there pretty good with stock lines?

2670 lines will not work they are a totally diffrent injector. The injector lines on all the pencil injector engines are the same. The 1175 1370 and 2470 are all the same. The part number is the same on them all. There is a diff in the injectors but not the lines.

the 2470 lines are bigger. stock lines are.060 inside. the bigger ones are .080 inside. the way you tell the difference is on the nut that screws on the pump. the small lines have only one mark in the middle of the nut. the big lines have 2 marks on the nut. actually the single line in the middle goes all the way around the nut. the same thing for the 2 lines approximately 1/8 inch apart in the middle of the nut. the same goes for the lines on the new style injectors. 1570 2670 and all 90 series..the bigger lines were used with the 10 mm a pump.

Re: Case 1175 Info January 30, 2014 11:10AM
Im not trying to be a know it all. But i have salvaged and seen more case tractors than most. I have never seen a 10mm pump on anything factory but 1570 2670 2390 2590 4690 2594 4694 and such. All 2470s i have ever had have had 9.5mm pumps just like the 1370s. I have a 1175 in the shop right now that has the two lines on its lines now with a 9.0mm pump. The same part number in old books is used on all of them and current part number is the same for all pencil inj. The only big lines i have ever seen were on the 10mm pump tractors. I would like to know if there were some larger lines on the 2470s but everything i see points otherwise. Before i went out and bought a set i would sure check them out. Again im not try to be a smart a-- i just don't want someone getting the wrong parts.
