Thinking about building a rd 501. Curious what a good combination is for stroke and bore? How far to bore? Rod lengths? Any off the shelf pistions work good? Clutch options? Main bearing options? I'd like to get my crankshaft sent in sooner than later. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks |

Don’t be surprised if you get advised to build a 400 series engine instead |

I would say that the 400 series setups are far beyond the old rd's capabilities. Just my 2 pennys. |

True. Depends on rules. If 466 call Chuck Lewis. If I win the lotto, I'm hauling a guy out of retirement and/or drafting in his son.
