Any updates on tractor pull? I've heard rumors of a smoke machine this year!

Re: Sturgis Pull February 14, 2014 03:18PM
the rumors are true! they are using Jim hills sled and smoke machine this year.

Re: Sturgis Pull March 15th @ 6:00 March 16, 2014 02:02AM
Was at the pull last night and was real impressed. This pull has come along way and improved alot over the time. Its a really nice facility and with the addition of the smoke tube this year made it alot better for viewers. Great job and keep up the good work down their.

Re: Sturgis Pull March 15th @ 6:00 March 16, 2014 05:59AM
Who won tractor classes

Re: Sturgis Pull March 15th @ 6:00 March 16, 2014 07:47AM
Was at this pull last night one of the worst pulls I have ever seen not organized at all no one was in a hurry you guys really need to get your butts in gear and work a lot faster and pull the trucks last if they wanna stand around talk when it is there turn to pull fine then don't make everyone else there suffer while they twittle their thumbs and what was the purpose of the smoke tube if you drive the tractors in the arena sorry I will never be back again and I don't advise anyone else to go total waste of time

Re: Sturgis Pull March 15th @ 6:00 March 16, 2014 02:07PM

did they really only hook 40 in 5 1/2 hours? sounds like a drawn out affair?

Re: Sturgis Pull March 15th @ 6:00 March 17, 2014 02:01AM
I've been going ever since they started this pull and if you know where this event came from you'd see they have improved. Pulls like this take time to make better and they have improved something different every year. This year was the smoke machine and if you've never used one it takes time to work out bugs in system. Give it time folks it will get better and could be a big pull in the future. Its a nice facility with lots of room outside with plenty of seating. Just give it a chance.

The folks putting on the show were asking about how to improve the show for next year. If everyone wants to be an expert, feel free to suggest to them directly what they should do. Granted, I've never played a role in an indoor pull (other than filming them) but I suggested some ideas that I thought might speed up the show.

Videos have been uploaded.

For now, I just use Windows Live Movie Maker. I have a more advanced editing program, but I still haven't gotten comfortable with it.
