anyone have any better luck or see a engine oil perform much better than another. if you talk to a manufacture they have the best oil vs. their competition naturally. they are trying to push their oil understandably but, in a pro stock tractor which has anyone found to be better in your opinion ? cen-pe-co , lucas , brad penn , schaffers , amsoil , ect... or ?? not bashing any company just looking for some experianced thoughts. |

We have run Brad Penn and Schaeffers, both have done well. When we tear down bearings look great. We have defaulted to Schaeffers because of higher zinc content and the moly in their product.
Any of the big dogs should work if your clearances, balances, and pressures are correct for your motor set up. Also the bigger heat sink (volume of oil in your pan or lube system) will do wonders. HT,
We have used many different oils in Hurricane Allis over the years (mineral based and synthetic) and currently use AMSOIL synthetic engine and gear oils. We have been using AMSOIL for the last five seasons. Our experience has been that our parts show less wear and last considerably longer since we have started using AMSOIL products. We see more consistent oil pressures from cold to hot operating temperatures and our end of run operating temps are somewhat lower due to the ability of AMSOIL to dissipate heat better. If you would like more information on AMSOIL products or ordering information feel free to contact me. Thank you, Todd Domann 913-433-4826 tadomann@yahoo.com |
