which ports to use on a helm pump when putting power to it. April 10, 2014 12:51PM
I got a seastar 2.4 helm pump there are "S" and "P" ports in the 3 and 9 o'clock position and there are 2 "R" ports in the 12 and 6 o'clock position, currently have lines going to steering cyl. in the "S" and "P" ports, seems to steer hard, going to use a 12v hyd pump to put power to it now, just wondering if just use the 2 "r" ports for my psi and return?.

Just wandering if u found out anything or tried ur steering after u put pump to it. I just did the helm system an it's a little hard to an not a very fast ratio.
