8500 Limpro fuel May 02, 2014 08:20AM
What cc's of fuel are you guys running with the 3x4. Is 700 not enough or too much.

Re: 8500 Limpro fuel May 02, 2014 10:41AM
i would run around 850

Re: 8500 Limpro fuel May 02, 2014 11:11AM
Didn't think that high. My pump will be about maxed out. How much water with that much fuel?

Anyone else?

Re: 8500 Limpro fuel May 04, 2014 02:39AM
We're running a 466 slotted 3x4 intercooler 850cc of fuel 22 ounces of water

Re: 8500 Limpro fuel May 04, 2014 02:47AM
On that 466 bring the fuel back to 800 take the water up to 60 and watch your eyes get big

Re: 8500 Limpro fuel May 04, 2014 03:17AM
Thanks guys. We don't run an intercooler on ours for the record.

Re: 8500 Limpro fuel May 04, 2014 08:13AM
U dont run 60 ounces of water on a intercooled motor

Re: 8500 Limpro fuel May 22, 2014 02:08PM
Any other thoughts on this before we go pulling this weekend on water & fuel. Just would like some more honest thoughts or from those with maybe dyno results. Do not have money to go on dyno but know we'll eventually have to.

Re: 8500 Limpro fuel May 23, 2014 01:29AM
kind of depends on how good your engine, fuel system and turbo is. If it isn't all latest and greatest you probably won't be able to burn as much fuel. Best to start off a little fat and wean it

7100 pump with dual feed injectors and precison turbo. Engine is pretty decent but I know your point. Have any advice you could still lend. Thanks

Tractor seemed ok at 750 but can't decide whether to go up or down. What kinda of timing maybe. We are at 38. Any suggestions from anyone above or new. Can't afford a dyno trip at the moment but have to save up I quessSpinning

What did you have for exhaust temp and how much water?

Re: 8500 Limpro fuel June 23, 2014 04:24PM
around 1300 to 1350 40oz water

Re: 8500 Limpro fuel June 24, 2014 05:16AM
My suggestion would be to start upping your water till you get your cylinder temps to around 1200, then turn fuel up 25cc and see if they get hotter,. If they do, up your water to cool it back down and then turn your fuel up again. Keep doing this in small increments at a time until you get to were it lowers your temp when you turn up the fuel.

That setup should handle a little more timing. But use a timing light to get it right. On my similar combo it liked 42 on the dyno.
