I striped a head bolt thread when retorqing the head, pulled the threads out of the block. Anybody got any ideas. Some super loctite on the stud. I don't want to pull the head back off and get it machined. |

Helicoils can work. It was a stud not a bolt? Recoil and full-torque may be better brands. Google them. They make solid inserts for cast iron. What class are you pulling in and how often will you be taking the head off? Studs are the way to go from stock on up. They will also be better with a repaired thread. Google thread repair and I am sure you will find something that will work for you. I don't think you will be able to do anything with the head on though. No kind of Loctite will do anything. |

It's in a 5.9 Cummins. Extreme Studs 14mm. In a LLSS class, looks like I need some sort of insert. Thanks |
