You can hard chrome the crank back to standard if that is the issue .better than new in terms of durability.

The cranks not hurt yet because im keeping a close eye on it the engine is a dt361 806 eng on alcohol .Ive got a Peterson belt drive pump the mains has gave no problems just rods 5500 rpm 60pounds of boost 11 to 1 compression runs extra smooth im thinking my oil lines are in the wrong places in the oil galy but my thinking has not been working that good

How much oil pressure are you running and is it a 2 stage pump

80 psi and it is a 3 stage one for the turbo it ideles at 70 or 80 when the oils cold bypass is set for 120

Its running strong there but I had it 9 to 1 for a few runs and it was doing the same thing to the bearings some kind of oiling problem with this pump rods have been re checked and went to 4 thousands clearance on the crank

It is impossible to cast or forge a crank with every counterweight in place.
Even if it is counterweighted, for what RPM, stroke, piston weigh etc.

They may add extra weights in key areas.

But in a performance application the design would still need to be reviewed.

cranky these cranks has been reviewed since the 1960s turning 5to6 thousand rpm with up to 3 chargers on them and a 150 pounds of boost the crank is not the problem something with my oiling this is not unlimited ss they are fully counterweighted ballenced by the person who makes your cranks on the same machine
