1206 timing
|
Pulling 1206 soon. Has biggest fuel spring in pump and 3lm turbo. Timing is set at factory setting. Should i change timing? Ifso what degrees should i set it at? I dont want to hurt the engine. |

Do you still have the stock pump with advance on it? If so u won't want to advance it much.what rpms are you going to run. |

Them motors don't like to much advance in the timing if it's the 361/407. I run one and with a A-pump and honestly I don't believe it is set much past stock if any past it. Runs great so I haven't move it and I don't recall the exact setting, but as I said I believe I set it at stock or very little advanced |

Stock static timing is 8 degrees and the pump has a 12 degrees advance.you're total timing is 20 at full fuel then.so u really don't need to go anymore if everything is stick other than being turned up.we run our 12's in the field stockntimeing with the pump wide open.they run good. |

Yes they do. We use them to farm with and they will run 225 hp with no problems. Thanks for the reminder on timing specs, I couldn't remember them without looking them up. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/31/2014 01:30AM by farmall puller. |
