There's a Ford 5000 that pulls with Mid-Mo. I think it's been points champ a few years. Runs good against 6 cylinders. Torque is a big thing when your even rpm and c.i. |

What brand are you wanting to go with because you would have to spend a lot of extra money on a 4cyl just to get 360 cubes but it would be strong you could go with a cummis or ih and build a cheap engine |

How many 4cyl. can get to 360 and live. Will there heads flow good numbers? Why wouldn't it make the same or even more hp. and have more torque? |

With a 6 you have 2 more sets of ports 2 more intake valves. There is a whole lot of other reasons a 6 is better. The only downfall is more moving parts, more frictional losses |

Then a v-8 would pull better than a straight 6. Doesn't seem to be the case. |

If a 6 pulls better than an 8 why isn't Bill Vories pulling 5 6 cylinder engines? I think if you check the points right now in Open superstock. PPL Jeff Hirt leading with an 8 cylinder. Check NTPA Blackbourn 1st and 2nd with an 8 cylinder |
