looking for a little wisdom...
have a dt466 that keeps blowing the head gasket after about two passes, machine shop says its true and the deck is good and flat as well. Not Sure what im not seeing , thank you

Are we talking stock gasket? Drop on fire rings?

What class are you running? Rpms? Timing? Type of injection pump, amount of fuel, injectors, turbo, ect... Some of this info would be helpful to get a better picture of what's going on.

If you don't have your sleeves cut for regular fire rings it's something you should probably look into.

It's a hotfarm , fire rings that go in the groove on top of sleeve p-pump about 700cc 5x23 inj about 37 on timing 5000 rpm and 3x3.5 chsrger

Did you cut the outside edge of sleeve down for the fire ring thickness so you get proper crush on the fire rings

Yes we did cut outer edge and they are 105 then they crush to about 88 does that sound correct? Thank you

Thats more crush then we run im thinking your not getting tight enough to your gasket.
Also hyper and GMS use different thickness in there gaskets.

Are you blowing out the fire ring?? Or just leaking oil and coolant.. (Do you think it's a gasket problem or a fire ring problem??)

.105 fire ring .058 thick head gasket total step on sleeve is .075
