ford fuel transfer pump September 14, 2014 12:37PM
has anyone ever used a gear driven power steering pump off a ford for a fuel transfer pump...My fuel tank is a bit lower than the pump and was wondering if the pump would not only pump fuel but suck it out of the tank...Any advice and information would be appreciated...thanks

Yes it will work, I never used a tractor one but one off the truck engine works fantastic and bolts right up.

Mounting hole is I believe is a SAE 1 pattern I use gear pump rated for 3500 rpm so I could in theory turn the engine at twice that? Won't happen? Worse thing about this setup is when the shaft seal let's go? Will fiĺl your crankcase with fuel..
Been there☺
