Wild ride at Rosendale, Wi September 22, 2014 02:33AM
Heard that a hitch broke in the 9500 Altered class and the tractor hit the concrete barriers on both sides of the track. Any pictures or videos out there?

I just saw the video on FB, Justin Hull had shared it from Waylon Baums' page. Odd "wreck" is all I can say.

Dave and I would like to Thank everyone that helped in any way on Sunday, I will not even try to list names for fear I will leave someone out. From the Medical help, to those removing the tractor from the track, to the concern showed for our family,We say Thank You.

Glad to hear he is ok and trust the healing of the sore spots goes well.
Good thing it did not occur before the cement barriers and that he had a roll cage. He definitely got tossed around in there but it contained him.

Hi,
The video is actually of his second run.
He was first puller and had to turn it down because he drifted to the right on that run, too.
Shut it down right where the concrete barrier starts.
And, it wasn't just Dave that got off to the right that day.
A couple other higher-powered tractors got pulled to the right side.
Just glad he is okay.
Tires, and wheels, and steering parts can be replaced.
People parts... not so much!
Also, I would recommend that all pullers who wear a helmet also invest in a neck collar/helmet support.
Collars can do a lot to keep your head from getting whipped around during a rough ride.
Question: Why don't more pullers use roll bar padding on their cages (like in other forms of motorsports)?

Later .......
