560 turbo October 19, 2014 06:32AM
I have a freind that is trying to find a kit to put a turbo on a 560 diesel just to get a slight increase in power. We were talking about M&W kits but he hasent had much luck finding one that the owener wasnt really proud of. The other idea we had was building a setup on our own has anyone have some help for us. He is only looking for 20 hp or so increase.

IH also offered a turbo exhaust manifold for the 282, they offered it as a dealer installed kit for the 560. The manifold has a T4 flange on it. The part number for the manifold was 306656R1. Personally, I've come across more IH turbo setups on 560's than I have M&W setups.

There is also a setup for the old payloaders. We had a 560 that ran one but it required you to cut a different exhaust hole in the hood. The setup with the right pump setup let the 560 we ran run at about 110 hp in the field at 2200 rpm's but it would burn about 4 gal of fuel per hr but I'm telling you this tractor would run, later we put the tractor back stock and I may still have the setup here but not 100% sure, would have to look around to know for sure. Also run a 560 with the M&W setup on it and it ran around 85 hp turning around 2600 rpm's and it would burn around 2 1/2 gal per hour. 2 totally different setups that worked very well.
