MMTTPA Rule Changes November 13, 2014 12:40PM
Here are the rule changes that was voted on and approved earlier this month for MMTTPA:

General:

Vehicle registration dues will be $100 per pulling vehicle. All vehicles must be registered with MMTTPA to earn points. Driver registration dues will be $50 up to February 15, 2015. February 16, 2015 and after, driver registration dues will be $75. As a registered driver, you may drive any vehicle that is registered with MMTTPA. For non-registered vehicles you can pay a $50 per day hook fee (one time hook fee) and will receive no points. Membership dues are to be voted on yearly at annual rules meeting.

11,000 Hot Stock Class:

The tractor is limited to a single turbocharger. Can run a 3LM up to the S300 2.36 inlet. The S300 is limited to a 90 housing with part #177272 or 100 housing with part #177209. Must be out of the box with no modifications.

Max RPMs – 2950
Must have working tack cable with 1 magnet (female connection from tractor) to hook to sled. CANNOT tack more than 2950 RPM per tack box during pull. If the tack box records greater than 2950 during the pull, that tractor will be disqualified, unless the tack box is inaccurate, alternate method of checking RPM will be handheld tack at the end of the track. Person reading the tack box is responsible for decision of which tractors to hand check.

Allow tube frames.

Recommended tie bars for 2015. Tie bars will be mandatory in 2016.

Rules are locked in for 2 years (2015 & 2016) until 2017.

5900 Pro-Field Tractors (Classic Modified):

A maximum of 410 cubic inch (big block allowed) displacement with a 1% tolerance.

Tractors may run one cast iron automotive block and OEM cast iron heads.

2.6 Diesel Truck:

Open Rear End: Trucks will be allowed to run an open rear end, but must weigh 7800 lbs.

Gutted Bed: Trucks with a gutted bed must place a 200 lb. weight no further forward than the rear axle.

Open Driveline: Trucks will be allowed to run an open driveline, but must weigh 7700 lbs. and have a drawbar hitch height of 25”.

Where there any changes in the 2.5 pickup class?

MMTTPA changes for the 2.5 Diesel Truck class is...
No receiver hitches will be allowed. Drawbar hitches will be mandatory.

They were having issues I believe in bending and breaking the hitches. Receiver hitches aren't for pulling a sled.

You need to modify your drawing beacuse without bottom supports on your hitch that draw bar is alot weaker than any stock style reciever hitch.
