Mag pick up engine tach November 29, 2014 07:22AM
Looking for a tach for a diesel puller. I have a spot where I can screw in a mag pick up over the ring gear. What tach and pick up would you recommend?
I will need to go at least 5K RPM.

I thought that the Autometer used a disk with four slots or screw heads for the mag pick up to sense. I would like to position a mag pick up over the ring gear to feed a tach.
I may have to try to put a disk on the front of my balancer.

Pretty sure Isspro makes a tach and pickup that will work in your application.
