Technology and Turbos December 14, 2014 04:04PM

Hi,
Isn't it about time that Tractor Pulling started phasing in more modern technology, like what is on the current OEM tractors?
At least in the "stock" classes?
It seems like most all the new tractors are going to a high efficiency, smaller cubic inch, turbo charged, intercooled engine with electronic fuel injection.
It's kind of lame, to think that I can't take a new, completely stock farm tractor to the county fair and pull it...
Heck, Nascar finally went to fuel injection and the world didn't come crashing down. Cool
Also, has anyone been playing around with the newer electric powered hybrid turbo technology?
I think that would/could be a very effective new idea for turbo'ed pulling vehicles.
Comments?

Thanks,

Later .......
