front alum. wheels April 09, 2009 04:31PM
I was wondering if you know, does anyone make a 6 hole x 6" alum. wheel that will fit on a stock JD hub. If not, what is the best way to change the hub? Maybe even going to a five bolt? Is there a different hub that works with new bearings, etc? Thanks

What I have seen most people do is machine the stock hubs to accept a normal automotive wheel with a chevy bolt pattern. I have done a few of these for pullers.

Find a machinist friend. He or she can turn the locating ring down on a stock hub and drill a new 6 bolt pattern in that hub. Just shift the pattern from the stock one. Just pick out the rim you want ad then find the version that is closest to your stock hub.
