iron head alcohols can run an intercooler? January 13, 2015 02:44PM
Thumbing through the ntpa rulebook, it says that regional light supers can run intercoolers if they are either diesel powered or an alcohol running with a cast iron head. Does anyone out there run a cast iron head in regional superstock? It states also that the heads cant be a hemi style head. Valves must stay aligned, and within 15* of cylinder wall. Do these rules exclude aftermarket heads like Crutchfields and Bambers? If hemi heads arent allowed, couldnt a guy be competative with a converted diesel head and an intercooler?

In WTPA, Jeff Guza is the only one that is running Oem cast iron cylinder heads with an intercooler that i am aware of. Most of the others run an aftermarket aluminum parallel valves cylinder head.-non-intercooled
