I get 250 out of my 1256 with the old stock charger and punching the fuel some. Use to run a 1206 at 225 with just the fuel punched up some and they were 361's and the 1256 is a 407. I would think 250 should be easy. I would think with a 3lm and a 450 head you should get 400 easy enough. |

The only .390 heads I've seen in an oem application are some Minneapolis Molines. |

I'm not sure what spring I just cranked it up an backed the out side fuel screw out I think this year I'm gonna just have a diffrent spring put in and a little tweaking if I can get to 250 with out a 450 head if at least not be so embarrassed out there ..... |

You did turn the leaf spring down right!not being a smart ass, just asking.the metering valve screw on the outside shld be backed all the way out.when you have the cover off you can see the metering valve. You don't want it to hold it back any. |

Haha yes I turn it down ... Righty tighty , and the one in the top cover out |

some of these pumps when stock had shims on screw between leaf spring and roter to limit how far it can be tightened |

Through the course of time, its hard to tell what pump is even on it anymore. For cheap power find a good 5020 pump, file down the leaf spring or leave it out altogether, make sure it has the steel weight retainer, if you can find a steel flywheel take out every other govener weight and go to town. I believe to make the 5020 .390 pump work on a international all that has to be done is relocating a couple of injection lines due to firing order. |

5020 didn't have a 390 there the same as a 12.both had 370's on them. |
