There was a Facebook page that someone started called Pulling For Preston and after many requests from people wanting to help our family in memory of Preston we have decided to put on a pull in Preston's hometown of Soldiers Grove, WI. All the proceeds from beverage and food sales or any other type of profits from this pull will go towards rebuilding Preston's truck. Starr Nelson, Preston's Sisters, and Kirsten Berra, a long time friend, who also help me run SWWI Pullers will be pulling the truck in the 2016 season in Memory Of Preston. The pull will start at noon with antique and farm tractors followed by larger classes starting at 6:00pm. I am working on a class list and will post that in the next week or so. I can tell you there will be classes for everyone. We will end the night with live music in the beer tent. |

The pull will start at 11:00am sharp with antique and farm classes which will be 100% payback. Open classes will have added payback money. Between 3:00 and 4:00 will be street diesel and gas trucks. All day classes will have a $20 entry fee. Late afternoon/evening will be all the larger classes including all SWWI Pullers Classes and many others. There will be no hook fee for these classes but there will be good payback for all classes. It will be the pullers option if they'd like to donate a portion of their proceeds back to the event. I will post all classes and pulling order in the next couple days.
Free Admission to the whole event including the pull, BBQ Cookoff, and music. I will also be posting more information. Here is a link to the poster: Pulling For Preston Poster Any questions please call me 608-632-3178 Thank You, Guy |

Pace for open? And 3000 rpm rule. It's an altered class not open. Thought about bringing my tractor but can't run 3000 rpm. |

Will the heavy farm class be subject to the same ignorant rules that were imposed at Reedstown? Or will farm stock tractors be limited by factory appearing pumps, 2.3" turbos and governed by speed limits? |
Re: Preston Nelson Memorial Pull Soldiers Grove, WI - August 1st
|
Neil the rules for the heavy farm were posted earlier and the pace was to be decided it will be 8/10 please call me for questions before posting your smart comments |

Yes Sir- I read the post. I could meet those requirement under loose interpretation, but will it be a pure stock class? Functional PTO and cast rears a must have? No electric supply pumps? |

We had a perfect day and everything went very well from the BBQ Cook Off, Live Music, and Especially the Truck & Tractor Pull. To everyone that help make this event successful from the volunteers that helped out, sponsors and supporters...Thank You... Preston would of been Proud!
This event all started with friends and especially from our pulling families that wanted to see his truck rebuilt and put on a pull in his memory. A portion will go to rebuild his truck that his sister and a friend will drive in the 2016 season and if Preston has his way from above, I'm sure it will be kicking everyone's butt. With the proceeds we also plan on setting up a scholarship at our local school in his name for Diesel Mechanics and Tech School and donating to the local fire and rescue that helped us on that tragic night. Watch for next year...since we plan on making this an annual event and will probably be the first Saturday in August each year.... Once Again, Thank You Everyone for All the Support in Pulling For Preston. He will be loved and missed forever by all that knew him. |
