Case LLSS Chassis?

I'm curious as to what tractor model I could use from Case for a light limited super stock. Would I be able to get a rear end and chassis light enough to make the weight? Any input would be appreciated. |

I am in the process of building one and I am starting with a 401B rear and trans. Should be able to interchange 30 series parts that are fairly abundant and the housings are a little lighter. I am anticipating weighing in at 52-5500 lbs when I am done.
Greene's out of MO use a 930 (I think) and they make 6500 in Gordyville with plenty of moveable weight. |

Thanks I was curious about using the 930 rear end when 6000 is the usual weight limit. What are you doing as far as engines? |

I am thinking about running a 451 bored to 470 diesel. Unfortunately I don't know much about the Case engines smaller than the 401 to really know what my options would be for alcohol. |

All of the six cylinders 377 to 504 have 5in. stroke and just make bore changes for the cubes.
I feel that an issue with the Case it the small bore causes valve shrouding and air issues. I was thinking about diesel with 6cylinders by doing some de-stroking and using the bigger bore. I know some guys will scoff at taking stroke away due to torque loss but I think that the stroke is no good if you can't get quality air. Just my opinion. |

aaron 606, just go buy the winner from Langford, NY. Larry & Donna Wright's Case "American Beauty" from Kentucky laid down a phenomenal pass with the 470 cubed diesel. I have seen this tractor pull previously in Kentucky. It is a genuine top notch pulling tractor. The Wright's are very personable and they have the tractor for sale. However, I do not have contact info for them. |
