I am curious to know what Deere rear half would work well for a llss or light pro stock application? The heart would be a 329 engine. Thanks!

I have been looking into this for the last few years and the general consensus that I get is a 4010 is the best bet between weight, strength, and parts. If you hear of anything different, let me know because I would love to hear about it.

Depending on rules and weight would be my questions. The 4010 rearend would have more parts available but are heavier and would not have the same bell housing so you would need an adapter plate. The 4030 is the rear end that came behind that motor but have 2 different transmissions the syncro and a quad range. The 3010 & 3020 have the same bell housing as the 4030 and you would be able to bolt right up to it however im not sure how readilly available parts are for the smaller series Deere's.

the 4010 would be my choice if you want to run a 329 get the 4030 adaptor and you should be ready to start; if needed I have a couple of rears and trans that need a new home

CPK says the 2140 that would be a good choice in the lighter classes you mite be able to find a 3130 rear cheap that is the same thing in southern ten or Alabama they were a lot shipped in from across the water along with the 2130 Kevin mentioned they are the same rear as a 2030 but had the 239 eng instead of the 219

Weight classes are 7500lb and 9000lb, with the 7500 being the predominant class.
