Have watched a Ford compete with 5.9 cummins in missouri he beats them some in a 3000 rpm class but he is a little bit short of power compared to them but not much |

Sure can. A 3 or a 5 cyl would be better. The more cylinders the more parasitic losses. |

I pull a JD 3020 with a few modifications against 6 cylinder's in SW KS very competitively. |

If its in a class with a rpm limit and as you say the same cubes I will take the 4cyl any day open up the rpms is a different story same cubes the 4 banger will make more torque |

We have been running a 4 cyl Ford in Wisconsin for 7 years against mostly 6 cylinders. Doesn't always win but id definitely call it competitive |
