I'm starting to build a mild hot farm tractor that I bought. It's a 1066 with a dt466 in it and I'm wondering where I should start to try and get around 6-700 hp. It has a 300cc rotary pump with 5x.022 injectors .093 lines. 3lm turbo truck Pistons that have been cut and a different cam, I have a picture of the cam spec sheet. I'm deleting the ta and putting in stepper gears but the rear end is not needled and it has a steel flywheel with a dual disc clutch. I know I'll need a pump and turbo but I just need help deciding what size to go with. I'm really not in an area where I need to follow certian rules other than hitch height and 20.8 tires which is what I'll be running. I very much appreciate the input, I'm new to the pulling world.

Well everyone will have a different idea I suppose, but to get that Horsepower it's gonna take an A or P pump,probably a 3X3 charger, and then is when you are gonna tear the clutch out. That's about the Power things start going south. So to do it one time with no Rules and most economical go with a P pump, a GT42 charger, a little Head work, and 3 disc clutch. Then next the Rear needs to be needled if you have done the Trans. That's just my 2 cents. Good Luck.

do not need a 3x3!!! I fact it will be hard to keep spooled.. hx50 2.67 500-800$ and p3000 2000$ tops.. double disk is fine needled cross shaft for diff is like 350-400$ and I might have one layin around if u want it $200 if I can find it

If your looking to be 6-700 hp , 2.67 hx 50 with 19 exhaust housing and a p3000 p pump that pushes at least 600 cc and a good cam will get you that ! Pretty cheap too !

Rtk I have a needled 1066 differential I would let go pretty cheap.


The p3000 on a 466 with mild head work a 3x3 gt42 a good cam and the right timing should put you right in the 6-700 range. And they are right, at this hp things start to break. You will need a good clutch the bottom support in the trans and the needled diff. May also want to look at weld on hubs.

Do the hubs. I exploded a cast hub with a similar setup in my brush pulling days. Not pretty when a rear tire goes into the bleachers. I would also put a little water in it. Cheap power and it will live a lot longer.

i know for a fact you can run a rotary pump, 3lm charger, @ 466 cubes and get over 600 horse. i have dyno sheets to back it up.

You could do that easy with a 15 but why would you want to if you can run a p pump.then you have something for the future and alot cheaper also.
