Modified Farm Pulling Rules
9,000 lbs. And 3,000 RPM Max All rules must be met for the pulling year of 2016 or will not be allowed to participate. 1. 1.3000 RPM Max. RPM pickup required with lead wire installed externally upon the frame of the tractor. Lead wire must be without breaks or connections between pick up and 3 pin connector. 3 pin connector need to be mounted on the rear of the tractor at an easily accessible location. 2. Safety Equipment- • Wheelie bars to be securely mounted to the rear of the tractor • Tie bars - recommended • Safety blanket or Clutch housing scatter Shield • Steel flywheel - recommended, but not required • Dead man throttle required • Air shut off located at the back of the tractor • Must have fenders • Roll bar or roll cage required (MUST wear helmet with cage) • Cross bolts mounted in exhaust pipe – 2, 3/8 grade 8 bolts • Seat belt • Side shields constructed of minimum 0.060 material • Mechanical Fuel shut off valve (Ball Valve) or 3-way Dump Valve. 3. 12-15MPH pace. This class will have a pace drawn from a hat by the first puller of the class. All speeds will be used before speeds are returned to the hat. Example – If at the Cuba City pull the first puller draws 12MPH the class will be 12MPH. The next pull the first puller of the class will choose a speed from the hat from 13, 14, or 15MPH. If the puller chooses 14MPH the third pull using these rules will allow the first puller of the class to choose from the hat containing the speeds 13 or 15MPH. NO GRACE OR BUMP OF SPEED LIMIT 9a.If the promoting location chooses to have a second Modified Farm class; the promoter may choose to use another speed from the hat or a speed of their choice if any. 4. Weight limit will be 9,000 lbs. 5. OEM manifolds. Intercoolers will be allowed, but only using an OEM manifold and running engine fluids. NO ICE BOXES! Example- if an IH chooses to install an intercooler off a DT bus engine or equivalent that was an IH part number this will be allowed but no aftermarket intercoolers or headers. 6. Turbo/Super Charger limited to one 7. Cubic inch limited to 540 cubic inch with factory components 8. Limited to an A pump except if the application comes stock with P pump 9. No Electronic throttle/engine/traction controls 10. Water injection is allowed using water only. Location and number of nozzles for injection is not restricted 11. Tire size limited to 18.4 – 38. No Altered tires allowed 12. Limited to One fuel only 13. Drivers must be at least 14 years of age with driving certificate and parental consent 14. On Board fire extinguisher recommended 15. All other general tractor pulling rules and common sense apply. If the promoting location chooses to have a second too hot to farm class; and wants a different weight they may choose +/- 500# of the original 11,500# class. Example the second class could be 11,000# or 12,000#. 5. OEM manifolds. Intercoolers will be allowed, but only using an OEM manifold and running engine fluids. NO ICE BOXES! Example- if an IH chooses to install an intercooler off a DT bus engine or equivalent that was an IH part number this will be allowed but no aftermarket intercoolers or headers. 6. Turbo/Super Charger limited to one 7. Cubic inch limited to 540 cubic inch with factory components. (Head/block/etc.) 8. Tractor must be equipped with a Wide Front Axle 9. No Electronic throttle/engine/traction controls 10. Water injection is allowed using water only. Location and number of nozzles for injection is not restricted 11. Tires will be limited to 20.8R38 or 18.4R42 tires. No Altered tires will be allowed 12. Tractor is limited to one type of fuel(Propane, gas, diesel) 13. On Board fire extinguisher recommended 14. All other general tractor pulling rules and common sense apply. 15. Drivers must be at least 14 years of age with tractor driving certificate and parental consent. Southwest Wisconsin Farm Tractor Pulling Rules
General Farm Tractor pulling rules 1. Rubber tires only. No chains,duals,4x4, or studs Permitted 2. All minors must be 14yr of age with written consent from guardian and have tractor driving certificate. 3. Tractor must have standard block and crankcase 4. Tractors must have original injection pump and if equipped with a blower. It must have factor stock number and no visible modifications. 5. All weight must be safely secured to tractor. Any ballast or external part lost while hooked to sled under green flag will result in a disqualification. 6. Tractor must have workable rear brakes. 7. Tractor must have working PTO and Hydraulics. 8. Drawbar is to be stationary in all directions while hooked to sled and pulling. Maximum height of 20 Inches from top of hitching device parallel to ground. Drawbar must have a opening of 3.5 inches and at leased a 6 inch clearance from all weights! 9. No one allowed on track except for track officials and contestants. 10. Any portion of the tractor going out of bounds will result in a disqualification. 11. First puller of the class must use the pull. 12. One fuel only is permitted. Tractor must use stock fuel for make and model of tractor. Gasoline, diesel, or propane are considered primary stock fuels. Ether, Oxygen, Alcohol, and various forms of Nitromethane are not allowed! 13. All exhaust must be discharged vertically upward with a minimum exhaust height of 12 inches. 14. No bounce or grace of set speed limits(10mph means 10.0 from the moment you begin forward progress) 15. Tractors are given 100ft to shut down and restart their pull • NO UPSHIFTING WILL BE PERMITTED PAST 100FT IN FARM CLASSES Non Turbo Farm Tractor 1. 18.4R38 uncut tires or smaller; unless factory equipped with wider tire in which competitor must use be using factor cast wheels. 2. 3000 RPM maximum 3. Weight at the discretion of the promoter 4. 8 MPH or less at the discretion of the promoter. Turbo Farm Tractor 1. 20.8R38 or 18.4R42 uncut tires or smaller; unless factory equipped with wider tire in which competitor must use be using factor cast wheels. 2. 3000 RPM maximum 3. Weight at the discretion of the promoter 4. Non-altered turbos. No slots, Slugs, Billet wheels, or waste gates are allowed. 5. 12 MPH or less at the discretion of the promoter. N/A Hot Stock Tractor 1. 18.4R38 cut tires 2. Open RPMs w/ safety equipment 3. 6000-6500#s will be the weight of the class by discretion of promoter. 4. Up Draft Carburetors only 5. Gas, Propane, or Diesel Fuel only. No Alcohol 6. No turbos 7. Adequate safety equipment required 466CI Hot Stock Tractors 1. 20.8R38 cut tires 2. Open RPMs w/ Safety equipment 3. 9500#s will be the weight of the class by discretion of promoter 4. Single fuel only 5. Adequate safety equipment required |
