Mounting 20.8s on 22-23" Steel Wheels January 24, 2016 12:16PM
Mounting a set of 20.8 x 38 Firestone RATs on 22" pressed steel wheels.

Someone mentioned using a metric tube?? Does anyone have any advice on the best way to go about this??

Also, what would be the difference in height and tread width between the following 20.8 tires mounted on a 22" rim?? Trying to figure out the best set to use. Have a set of the bottom three each with about 30-35% tread. 3000 RPM tractor.

Firestone 23 Deeptread Radial

Firestone 23 RAT

Firestone 23 SAT

Firestone All Traction Field & Road

Def. use the metric tube! Also use the Deeptread tire or the RAT's.Forget about the other two.Size will differ depending on bar height.I take it you can't cut your tires?
Deep treads will be hard to find if you can't cut them.
