IH DT-407 ARP Rod Bolts February 01, 2016 07:34AM
Hello, I am looking for information on the availability of ARP rod bolts for 407 rods. I understand that the 400 series bolts (pn 6AR2.500) will work with 1/4 of an inch cut off, but I wanted to make sure before I order that there are no shorter bolts readily available from ARP. It seems like you could ask for a 6AR2.250 for a shorter bolt, but I just wanted to see if anyone has any information on this. Another question, do these bolts require special washers? When I used their 400 series bolts in a 466 I did not use any washers. Thanks for any information.

I've had them custom make bolts and studs, otherwise check out extreme studs. They make a very good product and are cheaper, good guys to deal with.

No washers needed just cut them off. Works fine, that's what's in ours. WipeOut has the 407 bolts on hand also but are more expensive
