the 4055 would have a lot better power plant 7.6 liter with the 55 seriers head and the chassis would be lighter for more movable weight |

MAKE SURE THE 4055 IS NOT A POWERSHIFT OR YOU WILL BE FINDING A DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION |

Find a Mexican 4055. Lighter and syncro. transmission. |

Why not start out with a 4010- 4020 rear end and build from there. Your options are wide open. Put whatever sheet metal and motor you want it. Just my 2 cents. |

I'm sure [me] meant to say 4455 they didn't make a 4055 in a mexican and yes you can put a 2 speed in a mexican 4455 even if it's a synco transmission but a mexican 4455 didn't come with the good R86427 head on it. Good luck with choice. |

55 series is much better. Definitely don't buy a powershift. |

Better check but pretty sure a 4055 doesn't have a 466 in it. |

I think your neighbors have 4050 tractors, they had the 5.9 with a turbo or a na 7.6 . 4055's have a turbo charged 7.6 in them. |

Save your money and just buy a 6030 at that weight. You'll win more and everyone will hate you. But that can be fun too ! |

6030's are thee best looking "STRONG - BULL " LOOKING UNIT EVER MADE in MHO. Some older Allis tractors look mean too, looks and power to the ground is what watching is all about. Indoor pulls are crap cuz no smoke and not much noise.A 660 IH can be awesome too, with wheatland fenders. Spring - come on down. |

We are having tranny issues with a wet clutch setup so if I were to do over it would be a dry clutch tractor. Can't beat a 6030. You can build power till the cows come home. |
