The injection pump on our IH 414 has a loud rattle to it. Were going to send it off to be rebuilt just wo deri g if anyone has experienced this problem before

it is your intravance, , have the shop install an intravance that has been dampened, noise wont be an issue, those pumps were designed to run 30 wt oil, most now is 15w 40,, this leads to the cam problems,, let me know if you need assistance

A lot of times they are rattling, is because the front bearing has spun in the housing.

Hmm sounds like I'm going to have more into it then just getting the pump rebuilt. If that bearing is spun do I habe to pull off the whole front part of the motor?

No, the bearing they are referring to is in the injection pump. Nothing unusual about this, been happening with these pumps for years and years.

Correct, in the pump housing. Not really a big deal, us pump shops have rebuilt housings on hand normally, and it's not too expensive to repair the spun bearing area.
