Ford 6600

I have a line on a good deal for a 6600 ford rear end, I was just wondering if anyone knew the final drive ratio straight through without the transmission, and if it would be too heavy for a 5200 pound single engine modified? |

23.76 to 1 I wouldn't recommend a 6600 rearend you would have to install it upside down unless you ran a countershaft transmission. use a 4000 ford rearend its lighter and you don't have to flip the rearend upside down either. 15.75 ratio for that one. It is plenty strong enough too. |

If you need a 4000 rear end we just came upon a couple one has no motor two are lightly burnt very little to no damage |

Where are they located? And thanks Curt I knew the 5000 spun the opposite direction but I didn't really know anything about the 6600. |

Ford backhoes rearend don't have a transmission housing attached it's just a ppinion shaft that comes out the front of the housing. |
