A guy my family pulls with has done this swop I think close to 6 or 7 times. Just from what iv heard him talking. Ull need to make aluminum frame rails so there lighter and so u can make ur motor mount holes where they need to be. He's also said u need a 766 back plate I believe and the truck front plate. Now on ur fly wheel I'm not sure. The way he is I'm sure he found a stock fly wheel that works. But I know the 460 he's pulling now with the dt466 he had to have a custom double disk clutch made. And gear whise I believe he put the 4th gear in the 3rd hole then put a 4th gear out of a farmall 400 in the 4th hole because it's faster then a 560 or 460 4th. At least this is what iv gathered from him.

I wouldn't think that 4 gear would be heavy enough (width, ect) to hold that kind a hp, they are kind a narrow in both the 460 and the 400.

Ive heard him say that's what he's done several times. He isn't the guy to go out and buy custom parts or have stuff made. Every one was very surprised when he said he was having a double disk made. But he also running na. Last time I heard he had right at 300 PTO HP. He made a direct shaft sence he knew clutches wouldn't hold

Im planning on running it natural aspirated. mostly in 3.5 and 5 mph classes so should have to worry too much about the gears and such and honestly if it makes 150 or so hp that's really all I will need for now. I do wish I could remember which website I seen that flywheel on though. Also who is making T/A parts for these things

For the flywheel, were you thinking of Custom Tractor Parts? They seem to have a lot of stuff to do this kind of swap.

In my earlier post I failed to realize that it was a NA tractor that was being discussed. I thought the discussion was about a higher HP tractor. Gears will probably work just fine in NA tractor.

Also idk how ur rules are but. He runs velocity stacks for intake but if u have to be stock appearing just cut the whole bottom out of ur intake manifold. And for exhaust either make a header or u can take 2 stock manifolds and cut the long side in the middle which be the rear of the engine and take the outlet from the second manifold and put it in there so Ull have 3 cylinders per outlet technically but it's all one peice. Then just Y it back to a single bigger straight pipe or run 2 straights.
