Re: benifit tractor pull Friday june 5th, Rock Valley IA. June 03, 2009 03:11AM
THe best way to get there is to come in from the east. There is a "Ice cream shop" on the North side of the road. Take the road going North west from the corner and you will end up on the North side of the pulling grounds. The ice cream shop has excellent ice cream and the boys and I would highly recomend it. You can park at the side of the Powder coat shop and walk back. BUT save room. They have REAL good food on the grounds. We dont have a favorite but the pork is real tasty. This is one place you dont really need to grill at

Re: benifit tractor pull Friday june 5th, Rock Valley IA. June 03, 2009 04:54AM
hey,Tugger you and the boys should try the banana splits at the Drive Inn, but don't eat to much save room for some food from concessions

I want to thank everyone for coming up to the benefit pull last night. It was a great night and the rain held off until the end of the night. Thanks to all the pullers for coming out. We had a good turnout with new pullers. Thanks for all those pullers that came a great distance. We hope you enjoyed the pull and come back again. Thanks to Big Mike(The Predator) and Gary Sabotka(Red Rock) for coming with their skids they both did a great job. The money raised goes to a great cause. Thanks again.

One more thing. Thanks to the Valley Pullers for all their help last night. It was very helpful and to all the tractor pullers don't forget about the Outlaw 2 day Thunder in the Valley Pull on July 10-11 2009.

These are the measurements we got so they are very unofficial because yeah it was in between us running around trying to get our tractor ready, if anybody wants to make corrections or add any thoughts or info go ahead. A couple thoughts before I quit taking up to much space and time, Wowie Wowie Wow, what a show!!!!! There were tractors for days in all three divisions of Farm Stock, Open Farm, and Super Farm. There even were two all the way from Missouri, a good number from Nebraska and somebody let a few tractors from the Odebolt area sneak in( just kidding guys hope to see you in Rock Rapids July 13). Both the Predator Sled of Mike Van Beek and the Red Rock Sled of Gary Sabotka did an excellent job. We could have done without the wind but oh well it was still a memorable night. It cost only 5$ for admission last night and for the amount of hooks and variety of tractors they had if you didn't get your money's worth well that was your problem. Anyways it was an awesome start to the 2009 tractor pulling season, thanks to the entire Van Beek family for everything they do to pull this event off, good luck to all the pullers the rest of the way this year, and we hope to see everybody and more back for the 2010 edition of the Sweet on Life, Relay for Life Team's Cancer Fundraiser tractor pull.

All In and Shagnasty June 08, 2009 02:48AM
Shagnasty the 1456 in the 8,500 Open Farm is Rich Johnson out of Tingley, Iowa. Pulls with IAMO Pullers and back to back Hot Farm Champion and back to back Missouri State Fair Champion. Excellent looking tractor and a great competitor. All in is a 1066 owned by Mike Eckels. Pulls with IAMO too. Great new look for the tractor for 2009 and Mike and Todd are great competitors and love the sport. Both tractors won their respective classes at Albany, MO on Saturday night. Great runs and kudos to both. Look forward to seeing you guys at King City!

Re: All In and Shagnasty June 08, 2009 06:07AM
What are the rules "All In" is set up for? I see the IAMO limited pro class is 466 CI or smaller with a 3X4 smooth bore turbo or 467 to 550 CI with a 3X3 turbo with a map ring. I looks like it runs pretty good.....at least it beat a pretty decent bunch of larger CI super farms. Does IAMO ever do a turbo and CI check?

Re: All In and Shagnasty June 08, 2009 06:23AM
All In is set up for 466 3x4. A turbo check is performed at the beginning of the points season. Cubic inch is by prostest. They do run good and Thomas's at last report were doing the tuning. I will stand by them that thier cubes are right.

Re: All In and Shagnasty June 08, 2009 07:41AM
Any pictures or videos of "All In"?

Re: All In and Shagnasty June 09, 2009 02:09PM
and who are you

Re: All In and Shagnasty June 09, 2009 02:20PM
Someone impressed with how the tractor looks and runs! Saw the tractor at DuQuoin in 2008!

Re: All In and Shagnasty June 08, 2009 07:43AM
So can they get a TA to hold up running in that 3000 rpm 2.75 turbo class? If so what TA are they using? I see that there is a A pump and a P pump class with the same 2.75 charger rule. Is there a lot of power difference between the two classes? Thanks for the info.

Re: All In and Shagnasty June 08, 2009 07:50AM
The T/A's seem to be holding in both the "A" and the "P" pump classes. You would have to ask them which builder is being used. As far as the power difference in the "A" to "P" classes, they have not been run head to head in 2009. '09 is the first year for the 9,500lbs. Pro Field. The 9,000lbs Hot Farm has remained unchanged and has through the end of the 2010 season with a rules lock in.

Re: Results and thoughts June 08, 2009 11:09AM
I think that foxxy farmall measurement was incorrect-brian made it further than 287ft He was around the 300 ft mark. Not sure what happend ther.

Re: Results and thoughts June 08, 2009 11:11AM
Thanks for the correction!!!!!

Re: Results and thoughts June 08, 2009 01:56PM
3688 puller were the RPMs checked on the open farm tractors at this pull?

Re: Results and thoughts June 08, 2009 03:29PM
No they weren't. My only guess would be that it was not sanctioned by any orgainization. If they decide to do it it would be up to the Van Beek's

Re: Results and thoughts June 09, 2009 12:14AM
it was a fun pull no points not by any org rules where loose classes mixed u know fun pull

Re: Results and thoughts June 09, 2009 12:30AM
I thought we were there to test our set-ups that we wanted, eat way to much, and visit with other pullers. Where did the fun thing get thrown in. I can handle only so much Smiling

Re: Results and thoughts June 09, 2009 04:03AM
the fun thing came with the first hook for me

Re: Go to www.rockvalleypull.com for a map June 06, 2009 01:39PM
