I have a 466 block that has the 1" lifter bores in it. Can they be turned into the roller lifter style or is it just worth looking for a block that way already. I read the rollers are 1.125" . But what other than that are done?

You can buy drop in lifters for the 1" bore block from no limit mfg. Do not bore the 1" block to accommodate the 1.125 lifter

Second the no limit ones. That's what I got. They are nice and very reasonable.

Word to the wise....stay away from cam fx. I had some dealings with them and they are extremely unreliable and deceitful. I got the old cat ran away, shop burned, brother died and finally after 8 months I did get the wrong lifters twice.

No limit one time and your done, save you alot of headache. Buy the push rods also.
