What are most guys using for a kill switch on a alky tractor? Been looking around for a nice set up but haven't found what I'm looking for yet.

I wish it would get put into the rule books that the trailer breakaway can't be used. I've see them fail. The second option is much better and with a little thought can be built for less than that. I've see mods built with no expense spared anyplace else but then they put a 10 dollar trailer breakaway on for each engine as a safety device.

Give Ken a call at 319-627-2688. He has a dash and rear switch used by a lot that is economical and works with a 44.

My association doesn't allow trailer break away switches as safety kill switches. Check with your association before you use one. I have to use the second one shown.

I have been using this one for years.

Weld metal clip closed with a metal ring make sure the ring should be able to float free inside of the clip and use that instead of the plastic one on the switch.
Use a eye bolt with double nut in bottom hole so you have a place to tie strap the ring

Whatever you end up using, use it to activate/kill a heavy relay that actually feeds or grounds you ignition, rather than running it all through the kill switch itself.
