6.7 Iveco May 09, 2016 02:42AM
Has anyone put an iveco engine in a pulling tractor? There hasn't been any chatter on here about it, just curious if anyone has seen success with it. 411 cubes, should fit right in with a hot farm class I would think

I believe it will work fine if you can get it bolted in. It has the pump and the gears on the back of the engine which should be ok just different. It looks like a cummins head will bolt right on it but I am not sure.

Curt, I agree with the points you made, but have you heard of anyone doing it? I haven't, and I'm assuming you haven't since you didn't mention it...just wondering if there were any obvious reasons why one would want to avoid it. Basically I'm trying to avoid a disaster if someone has tried it and can learn me a lesson.

I have not heard of anyone doing it. You would be the first I know of which means you will be the first to find the faults if there are any. Great ag engine with a 5.2 stroke it has loads of torque and great dependability.

Those engines are pretty worthless in the case combines. Way under powered, not much lug, and have their share of issues here and there.

And these issues you speak of with said engine are what exactly brainiac? Your statement couldn't be any more broad and non descript.

Pretty certain a 6.7 Iveco was not used in a CaseIH combine.

They are in the 51 series now

Rekindling an old thread here... has anyone used the 6.7 iveco in a Pulling application? Would like to talk to that person if they’re out there.

I thought there were some in Europe? Maybe one of those guys will chime in.

Not the 6.7 yet. The Cursers and big V8s have been used in alky conversions for mod tractors.
