Your kidding right? Arena,short track,Sunday pull,same old Outlaw classes,invited exhibition hooks, non sanctioned fill in classes. I think Mound City needs a change also.

Mound City does not have the best facilities with the short track in a rodeo arena, but they have the vehicles and now the big screen. Best pull in this area, and a shame Garnett has the room and track but not much vehicles for a pull. Was way better when Outlaws were there.

Making it a Western Series hook would bring in the 4.1 tractors for sure. I agree that going back to the Outlaws wouldn't be the answer. They don't seem to get very good numbers that far south at least with the tractors and mods.

Someone doesn't know there geography very well to say Outlaws doesn't have many 4.1 and mod tractors this far south. Heck that is where half of them are from, unlike their super farms and diesel supers that are mainly up north. Two weeks ago in Texas they had 9 or more in both 4.1 and mod,s plus that many or more big pro stocks. Those numbers only get better in Missouri and that is why people go to Mound City. How many 4.1 and mod tractors do MSTTPA have and no pro stocks. PPL has about the same number of 4.1's as Outlaws but few mods or any pro stocks. I think PPL struggles down south as hardly nothing at Coffeyville, KS last two years.

How about we support all pulling associations that want to put a pull on in Kansas.....Kansas doesn't have all that many pullers so most have to travel to get there.....I don't like the Mound City track but it doesn't stop me from going..

I agree with last post not many tractors out of Kansas for somebody to complain about quality of show/equipment when most pullers drive 4hrs to get there is just plain wrong. I don't pull with Outlaws or MSTPA but if you want numbers up get with the promoters and help raise the prize money for the classes you enjoy most instead of just going night of pull and returning home and jumping on here and bashing Outlaws,MSTPA,or whichever other organization it might be this week.

Talked with Doug at Western Farm Show and he said Outlaws wasn't interested in going back to Garnett. They use to pull at Girard, Ft Scott, Garnett and they are to close to each other and Mound City. They like Mound City because they feed the pullers and have a good track, so that's where they are going to stay. Since then I saw they cut out about 10 smaller events, so don't look for Outlaws back. They probably like Mound City too because it is on a Sunday and can work in their schedule.

Most of the Mo. 4.1s will be in Jerseyville, Il. on Friday and Henry, Il. on Saturday. These are both Silver Series point hooks.

The problem is MSTTPA rules suck. No tractors so when you go there is Mods and Super Stocks and other stuff in the class.

The only non 4.1 that gets to hook in that class is the Red Royal super stock. No mods!

I doubt that all the 4.1 PPL tractors in our area are going to Henry, Il and doubt if Marthasville, Mo will draw very many. There should be 5-8 that could help us out. The promoter has added this purse to try and get some tractors. Does not matter which pulling organization gets this pull next year, Garnett needs tractors Saturday nite to make a good 4.1 class. Help us out.
