Pro Stock Cummins July 13, 2016 01:15PM
Is anyone running the 8.3 style Cummins in a pro stock tractor? Could
It get to 680ci and stay together?

Better off using the 8.9 Cummins to get to that cube.

L10

Re: Pro Stock Cummins July 14, 2016 01:52AM
L10 wouldn't be legal in pro stock.

Pros haven't adopted the "any agricultural block" verbiage yet? I thought that they did when they opened the door for billit blocks? My bad.

Harts Massey running BBJD !!!

Last I knew only the Open/unlimited SS class can run any at block. All others have to be a block used in a 2wd tractor. Then only components can run a different brand engine than what the sheet metal is.

Page 55 in the NTPA Rule Book: Component tractors at the SN/GN level only are allowed to use any agricultural type engine that conforms to sheet metal and cubic inch limits. This rule has been in place for a while (prior to the billet block rule in PS).

Right next to where it says that 4 valves per cylinder heads may be used provided they are a stock application head for the ag block chosen.

I stand corrected.

The catch is that it is only allowed at SN/GN events. I guess I wouldn't recommend using the cheap and plentiful L10 base if you couldn't run for points at your local state events.
