Boyceville, how did that go? June 06, 2009 07:18AM
Was it a good show?
Who won in the Hot Classes?

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 06, 2009 01:39PM
It didnt go too bad. They made some exceptions for a few pullers that maybe they shouldnt have....no safety equip etc. only 1 pickup there. A fair amount of farm tractors which PAY the bills. Not a terribly lot of hot stuff but a few though. Olson ran good, Afdahl did alright too. Seems that pulling is dyeing out from 5-10 yrs ago.

It was ok not alot of tractors or trucks. The sled was bad cuz when the hot classes hooked they all whent left and had to get out of the throttle.

how light can you get a 4440 jd with cab in a farmstock class?

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 08, 2009 03:23AM
about 11,000, maybe less if you really worked at it. Why?

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 08, 2009 09:35AM
one pulled in the 10500 farmstock class with a 10mph speed limit and put 96 feet on the class and there wasn't anyone running the scales just wondering if that was possible to get the tractor down to that weight....... sure was an impressive hook though!

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 08, 2009 10:53AM
That must have been delanders 4440! That tractor runs awesome! I was a little scared sitting in the bleachers. I thought he was gonna drive over the top of me! That tractor runs better than any JD i have ever seen!

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 08, 2009 11:22AM
Thats why they need somebody to run the scales! Honor system doesnt apparently work. There was a 100' distance in 5500 also between 1st and the rest of the class but that didnt get questioned either.

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 08, 2009 01:41PM
to my knowledge, delanders were not there. They should make a rule that the top 3 should go back to the scale.

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 08, 2009 01:46PM
or be fore you pull in line plus some teck

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 08, 2009 01:43PM
It was not delanders they would of been 196 feet past . But i think delander at least they pull in they right weight class at 12500

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 08, 2009 02:06PM
It wasnt a 4440 JD if my memory is right it was a 4250 John Deere. Delanders were not there. The 4250 put a good distance on every other 11000 lb tractor. 5500 was the same. The old oliver walked it out there pretty good.

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 08, 2009 02:15PM
Any reasonable explanation why some tractors are able to put such a great distance between all the others with a speed limit on the class? I thought the speed limit would even out the competition. Any thoughts?

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 09, 2009 10:20AM
In that case that night in boyceville as far as the 4250 walking out there 70 feet ahead of everyone, I think it was good driving. He got over to the side, hooked the loose dirt and with the radials that were on that tractor was able to drag the sled with. The sled uses those plates under the pan to stop ya and if they dont bite you can slide him right along.

That is just my opinion.

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 09, 2009 10:30AM
that wasnt delanders and for your information it did make weight with a little time you can get something like that down to the right weight! it was a fair pull and if we are right they did have someone at the scale and he said we were at the right weight to pull! it was a good hook and a good driver

Re: Boyceville, how did that go? June 09, 2009 07:33AM
It was a 4250 that pulled in the 11000. And it does weigh 11000 with pressed steel on, if you dont beleive it let us know at the next pull and we'll pull it on the scale for ya!!
