Looking to put a 55series head on a 4430 with the 404 engine for farmstock class. I was wondering if this is possible with the smaller bore that a 404 has versus the 466 and, if it is what other parts from 55 will be needed. Currently runing 40 head with 55 manifolds and S3 turbo. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just put a 466 in place of the 404, you will never be happy competing with the red tractors with a 404.

I don't believe that the 55 head will fit with the small bore of the 404. It would fit if you bored the 404 block to accept the 466 liners. If you bored the block to 466 specs, you could also use Darton liners and 5020 pistons and this would make it a 504.
