How to dyno a modified engine? September 12, 2016 10:24PM
When I was a repair tech it was easy to determine horse power. Set up the dyno as needed. Run the tractor at a specified rpm. Pull it down to a specified rpm. Read the dial, gauge, display depending on age of the dyno. That was the horse power. My question is: modified engines running hundreds to thousands more rpm where do you start at and what rpm do you pull down to? How can all these different setups be compared? Thanks
