I'm looking at what I think is a Rockwell H-172., but the tag have been removed from the housing. what is the best way for me to determine for sure that it is a H-172? Thanks

If the center section looks like a 172, two ways to identify it are to either pull an axle to measure diameter and count splines, or pull the center out and get the part number off the ring gear.

spline size is 2.00x39 spline
