Any way to tell if a tractor has had fast finals put on? Is there a casting number on the final housing? Way to tell by spinning the input shaft with it in gear? Talking bbjd.

Is it running ? Put it in 7th it will go 16-18 mph little slower than stock 8th,
8th will go over 30 at 2000 rpm
cant be sure by housings as you swap your gears with those in your housings

No front end or wheels, just trans and axles.

7 th gear is 25.7-1, 8th is 15.7-1 from what I know. Stock 8th is 23.3-1 so if you can turn the input shaft 15.7 turns the axle should turn 1 for fast finals. 23.1 turns for stock 8th gear.
