2017 Midwest Winter Nationals Pro Stock Challenge November 28, 2016 09:23AM
Pro Stock Competitors,

This year at the 2017 Midwest Winter Nationals, January 5-7, 2017, we are working to get the sponsorship to pay the largest purse for the Pro Stock class we have ever offered. We are hoping to pay an $8,000 to $10,000 purse each night. The break down for the purse would be 1st: $1,200, 2nd $1,000, 3rd: $850, 4th: $800, 5th: $700, 6th: $650, 7th: $600, 8th: $550, 9th: $500, 10Th: $450, 11th: $400, 12th: $300, totaling $8000 each night , but hopefully, based on sponsorship, we will be able to offer an $10,000 purse = 1st: $1,500, 2nd: $1200, 3rd: $1,000, 4th $900, 5th: $850, 6th: $800, 7th $750, 8th: $700, 8th: $650, 9th: $650, 10th: $600, 11th: $550, 12th: $500. We are hoping this will encourage guys to pull both evenings.

In addition to our purse we are going to promote a “Team pulling contest”. This involves the pullers forming teams of 5 tractors. Teams can be formed by pullers competing together representing their home group, PPL, NTPA, Badger State, ITPA, etc., or a team can be formed by a sponsor, Hart’s Diesel, Hypermax, Scheid Diesel, etc. We will pay additional purse monies to each of the pullers that make up the team that has the farthest combined distances over the two nights.

I like how you are thinking outside the box with the team idea. I was watching the street car racing show and how they call each other out for a race. I was wondering if that could work for pulling to some degree. I feel thinking outside the box is what will keep the sport going for pullers and fans.
